Office Online is a version based on the Microsoft Office web, developed by Microsoft. Unlike the traditional desktop version of office, you go to this suite via a Web browser, you can do everything online. The suite includes versions of the classics on the Web: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and OneNote. These applications are simplified and lightened, so they don't include all the powerful features of the office. Use Office Online to create a resume from a template, write a book or create presentations and spreadsheets base. Office Online offers excellent compatibility with standard office documents.
If it is not so powerful that the Office for the office, you have probably not all the bells and whistles. Give it a try to see if it works for you.

This software is not as powerful as Microsoft Office, but it is completely free, works entirely offline and is packed with features that you won't find in the suites office simplified on the Web.
This alternative is a powerful for those who use Microsoft Office regularly and want to use a desktop application to save your documents on your own PC. It offers the power and functionality that meet the needs of most people. As a bonus, LibreOffice doesn't have a tape, it provides a familiar interface for those who cling to older versions of Office.
Fortunately, I used OpenOffice, then LibreOffice for years, even for the drafting of the documents of the University. When you send a document to someone, save it as a PDF file and it's guaranteed to look the same on the computers of other peoples.
